About Us
Dear Friends,
 I first came to love Fort Walton Beach in the fall of 2001. My sister Jody and I met here for a weekend to decompress from our hectic lives. She had just finished running the Marine Corp Marathon, and I had just completed a large project at work. Fort Walton Beach/Destin was the perfect middle meeting ground for us; she lives in Washington DC and I live in Miami. And, we had both heard such incredible things about the area "having the most beautiful beaches in Florida", so we had to see for ourselves.
We each arrived at night, so we initially didn't have the appreciation of the town, area or the beaches. But that all changed once the new day began. We awoke to paradise. The beaches were breathtaking; the water was a gorgeous emerald green and very clear. The sand was as white as snow. The pelicans were making their seashore fly-bys. The entire setting was so calming and complete, we knew then that we never wanted to leave.
The town of Fort Walton also stole our hearts. Each shop was more unique than the next, and the people were extremely friendly. We loved the fact that Fort Walton is not only on an island, but the land is part of Eglin Air Force base. And because of this unique location, no condos can be built over 7 stories. We love this fact because it preserves the beauty and allure of the beach. And during the military flight drills, it feels like our own private air and sea show!
The winter months on Fort Walton Beach and Destin showcase some the most incredible sunrises and sunsets you'll ever see. In the summer months you see the same spectacular sights, but they are slightly shifted over the island; in fact if you wake up early enough, a short walk to the top of Brooks Bridge has a clear view of the most amazing sunrise I have ever seen.
Both Jody and I are from a large family, so both units are perfect for family vacations/reunions. Each unit is decorated a little differently. The 610 unit has a true beach feel, and the 705 unit has more of a West Indies decor. Both units are complete with all the comforts of home. There is enough space (in the condos, on the beach and in town) for everyone to be together and enjoy a wide array of activities, or to venture out on your own for some quiet time. And with Destin only 6 miles away, great shopping and nightlife is never very far!
